Abstract:
The papers of Cornelius C. Moore Esq., an avid silver collector, contains correspondence and photographs that relate directly to Moore's silver collecting. Additional material includes documentation on a number exhibitions in the 1960s for Moore's silver collection. The collection was the basis for the publication of the art-history book, "American-Silver 1670-1830: The Silver Moore Collection at Providence College." Abstract:
This small collection of mostly regional Rhode Island newspapers contains articles reporting on early World War I events, the Hurricane of 1938, the death of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and on early 1950s reunification efforts of Ireland. Additional materials include microfilm copies of the mid-20th century runs of the Boston Chronicle and the Providence Chronicle, the 19th century Woonsocket Patriot (1833-1836), the 18th century New-England Courant (1731-1735), the Weekly Rehearsal (1731-1735), and few odd original copies of early American newspapers.

Abstract:
John O. Pastore (1907 – 2000) was an attorney and politician from Rhode Island. A member of the Democratic Party, he served in various capacities within the Rhode Island State Legislature from 1934 to 1944. In 1945, Pastore became the 61st governor of Rhode Island, a position he held until 1950. He was then elected to the U.S. Senate, where he served from 1950 to 1976. He served on several prominent committees including the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy and the Senate Commerce Committee Communications Subcommittee. The John O. Pastore papers consists of correspondence, legislative materials, news clippings, reports, campaign and election materials, public speeches, press releases, audiovisual materials, and photographs.

Abstract:
The collection is comprised of biographical research on the life of composer Christopher Alexander Peloquin. The information was collected and arranged by Sister Gail P. Himrod, O.P, Mus. A.D. It spans from his days as a bandmaster in the 314th Army Band in World War II, to his time working for the Catholic Hour TV Broadcast, to his service as director of music ministry at Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence, RI, through his 38 years on Boston College's Faculty of Music as a composer in residence. He also conducted a professional choir called the Peloquin Chorale. In addition to biographical materials, the collection contains musical scores of Peloquin’s works, audio recordings of interviews and choral performances, and photographs of the Peloquin Chorale.

Abstract:
The collection contains a small amount of miscellaneous business and personal documents, newsclippings and transcripts of speeches. The heart of this collection is a series of oral history interviews conducted in 1972 and 1973. All but two of these interviews, which covers every phase of his public life, have been roughly transcribed. Of particular value are Quinn's comments on the 1935 "Bloodless Revolution" and on the local political arena of Rhode Island up to World War II.
