Abstract:
The Fayerweather family, descendants of slaves, served the village of Kingston and the surrounding countryside as blacksmiths throughout the nineteenth century. Most famous in the family is Sarah Ann Harris Fayerweather whose attendance at Prudence Crandall's school for girls caused tension over school integration in Connecticut. The records contain papers and memorabilia from several generations of the Fayerweather family.

Abstract:
This collection consists of the personal and professional papers of Silvia Federici, Italian-American scholar and activist; co-founder of the International Feminist Collective; and organizer with the International Wages for Housework campaign. Federici served as Professor Emerita of Social Sciences at Hofstra University where her research focused around questions of colonialism, capital punishment, immigration and emigration, globalization and global market inequality, food politics, elder care and capitalism, and academic freedom in Africa. The collection documents Federici's academic career, personal life, and feminist activism, and dates from 1922-2023 (bulk 1970-2023).

Abstract:
This collection comprises letters and documents from Ross W. Fenton (Class of 1969) mostly relating to his service in Vietnam (1967-1968) as a Petroleum Products Analyst in the Quartermaster Battalion 64, 512th Quartermaster Company based at Camp Red Ball, a small base camp near Go Vap, a Saigon suburb. The collection includes U.S. Army recruiting brochures (1964-1965), military documents and Service Medals and ribbons relating to his military service, papers related to his involvement with the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (some obtained through the Freedom of Information/Privacy Acts), and a popular photograph of Fenton with John Kerry during their Vietnam Veterans Against the War protests in Boston (1971).
