Abstract:
St. Peter's and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of Providence, Rhode Island was incorporated in 1972 by the merger of St. Peter's Church of Manton (Johnston) and St. Andrew's Church of Providence. Prior to the merger, both churches had long histories as separate parishes. St. Peter's Church was established as a mission church in the Manton section of Johnston in 1842. St. Andrew's was originally established as a missionary church.

Abstract:
The records described here document the administrative, fiscal and religious activities of St. Stephen's Church. Though the Church was chartered in 1839, the large majority of the records are from the twentieth century. Abstract:
Reverend Joseph J. Sullivan (1877-1960) was a professor of Art at Providence College from 1931-1957. This collection is comprised of his artwork, personal correspondence, a small easel, and the drafts of a manuscript based on the life of Jesus, for which he created over 100 illustrations. A wide variety of subjects, media, materials, and styles are represented in the Sullivan’s artwork. His most notable design was for the Holy Name Society’s logo.

The T. H. Franklin Collection comprises approximately 1,800 glass slide negatives and 1,900 ship records, also known as "ship slips", used by the ship brokerage company to promote ships to prospective buyers between 1902 and 1940. A board range of ship types are represented in this collection from the United States and abroad. A select number of photographic contact prints made from the negatives are also part of the collection.
