<p>Minoru Saito (born 1934) is the only person to have completed eight singlehanded circumnavigations. He completed the 1990-91 BOC Challenge race, the 1994 BOC Challenge race and the 1998-99 Around Alone race, amongst others. He was inducted into the Museum of Yachting's Single-Handed Sailors' Hall of Fame in 2006.</p>
