<scopecontent encodinganalog="520"><head>Scope and Content Note</head>
<p>This collection contains the letters received from foster children sponsored by Casey Miller: Nadine Dupied (France), Park Soon Ok (Korea), Ma Mei Ying (Hong Kong), and Edith Mosquera (Colombia). Also included are receipts for Miller’s contributions to Foster Parent's Plan, newsletters and flyers as well as direct correspondence from Plan to Ms. Casey. Envelopes were removed from the collection with exception of those heavily annotated. Photographs and histories of the children accompany some of the letters. Nadine Dupied continued her correspondence with Miller for a time after her eligibility as a foster child ended. Of interest is an article published in Miller’s hometown newspaper, <title render="italic">The Greenwich Time</title>, Aug. 22, 1954 highlighting foster children "adopted" by those in the area.</p>
