The collection consists of one reel-to-reel recording of a Gubernatorial Forum on issues regarding human services in Rhode Island held on October 9, 1984, in Gaige Auditorium at Rhode Island College. In attendance at the gubernatorial forum were Democratic gubernatorial candidate Anthony Solomon and Republican gubernatorial candidate Edward DiPrete, who fielded questions from panelists and audience members on topics related to welfare and human services in Rhode Island. The forum was sponsored in part by the Rhode Island Conference of Social Services.
