                <p>The collection contains what is likely student coursework. The name “Hannah Jacobs” is written on one of the documents, however it is unknown if they were a student at the Rhode Island Normal School. The collection includes handwritten partial copies of The Pastoral Songs of P. Virgil Maro Eclogue First (in Latin) and The Enid by P. Virgil Maro (in Latin); a list of words and phrases in Latin; handwritten notebook containing math problems and equations, notes and phrases relating to Ancient Greece and Rome; math problems including division and multiplication, tables in compound addition, weights and measures, time, compound subtraction, compound multiplication, compound division, and reduction.</p>
