                <p>The City of Providence maps collection, spanning the years 1877 to 1925, offers a comprehensive view of the evolving urban landscape and city planning of Providence, Rhode Island. This collection encompasses a series of maps published by Sampson, Davenport &amp; Co. and Sampson, Murdock &amp; Co., shedding light on the city's growth, development, and architectural heritage. The maps also contain advertisements for Ackerman &amp; Co., Daniel Watson Real Estate, Hargraves Manufacturing Co., E.A. Johnson &amp; Co., John R.
