Born on December 22, 1839, in Warren, Rhode Island, Hezekiah Butterworth was an American poet and author. He was an editor for The Youth’s Companion, a literary children’s magazine based in Boston, Massachusetts. Butterworth died in Warren, Rhode Island on September 5, 1905.
The collection consists of two original letters written by Hezekiah Butterworth circa 1887 to editor of Golden Rule, and Mr. Collier, while working for The Youth’s Companion magazine in Boston, Massachusetts.
