            <abstract>The collection consists of assignments created by Ingamar M. Alven Ducey while studying at the Yale School of Fine Arts in the early twentieth century.</abstract>

        <bioghist><head>Biographical/Historical Note</head>
            <p>Born June 3, 1912, in New York, Ingamar Marguerite Alven Ducey married Charles J. Ducey in 1932; they lived in New Haven, Connecticut. The couple had a daughter, Cathryn Annette Ducey (1935-2001), who was an English professor at Rhode Island College for thirty-five years. Ingamar died on February 28, 2003, in Providence, Rhode Island.</p>

                <p>The collection includes handwritten essays, lectures, and notebooks on pictorial art, costume design, and interior decoration by Ingamar M. Alven Ducey while studying at the Yale School of Fine Arts in the 1930s.</p>
