The Retention Task Force was created to implement “REACH” (Retention Efforts in Advising, Communication, and Help). The collection marks the beginning of the task force, during which the chair proposed Academic Team Mentors (ATMs) to support student retention efforts. The task force provided opportunities for critiques of the final reports submitted at the end of the collection.
The collection includes memos from the Retention Task Force chair regarding meetings. The collection also documents the task force's goals and the progress made on developing the ATM (Academic Team Mentors) plan. Additionally, the collection contains task force reports discussing the plan presented to the entire college and memos inviting critique.
Researchers are advised to contact Rhode Island College Special Collections for questions regarding permissions to reproduce, distribute, or otherwise publish material from this collection. Although Rhode Island College has physical ownership of the collection, it does not necessarily hold literary rights.
