The RIC Enrollment Management Resource Group was established in 1987 with the intent of acting as a vehicle for communication, discussion group, and problem solver for issues related to enrollment management. Over the course of their introductory year, with a committee of 35 members including a foundational executive committee, they introduced 10 focus groups with multiple sub-projects related to improving retention numbers at the college.
The collection includes recommendations for improving Academic Advising at Rhode Island College, along with research the committee used to support their claims. The collection also includes an academic year report from the creation of the task force including the year's projects, progress updates, advising discussion seminar notes and general meeting notes. The records conclude with the Enrollment Management Update publications which were produced to inform the campus community of all that is summarized in the academic year report.
