The Web Governing Group (later called the Web Advisory Committee) was established in 1997 by Rhode Island College President John Nazarian. The Committee was charged with developing and maintaining policies and procedures relating to RIC’s presence on the World Wide Web and consisted of faculty and staff across the college.
