The Distinguished Films Committee was tasked with creating and hosting a film schedule of films relevant to the theme or time of the given academic year. The committee also hosted guest lectures and presentations from visitors outside of Rhode Island College.
The collection contains annual reports, correspondence, film schedules, and flyers. The annual reports contain information pertaining to the members, both faculty and student, in attendance, along with budget concerns and their attempted and successful goals for each academic year. There is correspondence between the members of the committee about meeting times and places and admitting student members to the committee. The collection also includes flyers and schedules that advertise the setlist of movies to be shown in the academic year.
