      <head>Biographical/Historical Note</head>
      <p>In 1957, a special Corporation committee on the University's retirement program was created with Milton H. Glover as its chairman. It submitted a report in October of 1957, and its recommendations were approved by the Corporation. A second committee was created in December 1962 to review both retirement and insurance provisions for Brown faculty and staff. It submitted its report to the Corporation on October 19, 1963.</p>
