In 1957, a special Corporation committee on the University's retirement program was created with Milton H. Glover as its chairman. It submitted a report in October of 1957, and its recommendations were approved by the Corporation. A second committee was created in December 1962 to review both retirement and insurance provisions for Brown faculty and staff. It submitted its report to the Corporation on October 19, 1963.
The collection contains both the final reports and working documents of two Brown University Corporation committees looking into the retirement and insurance provided to Brown University faculty and staff. The material dates from 1956-1965
Although Brown University has physical ownership of the collection and the materials contained therein, it does not claim literary rights. Researchers should note that compliance with copyright law is their responsibility. Researchers must determine the owners of the literary rights and obtain any necessary permissions from them.
There are no restrictions on access, except that the collection can only be seen by prior appointment. Some materials may be stored off-site and cannot be produced on the same day on which they are requested.
