This article, entitled "The Drunkard's Best Friend," was written by Jack Alexander and published in the Saturday Evening Post on April 1, 1950. This was the second article about Alcoholics Anonymous written by Alexander and published in the Saturday Evening Post. The first article, entitled "Alcoholics Anonymous", was published March 1, 1941 and was the article that first thrust AA into the national consciousness.
