      <p>Marguerite Gibson Freeman died in 1963. She was married to Harrison Barber Freeman (his second wife). He was a lawyer and Corporation official of Brown University.</p>

        <p>The collection consists chiefly of letters from friends in England describing conditions during World War II and giving personal news, and includes one letter to Freeman's husband, Harrison Barber Freeman.</p>
