The collection consists of flyers and programs documenting theater, poetry, and dance events in New York City from 1970 to 1981, with the bulk of materials dating from the 1970s. Many items contain handwritten notes and inscriptions addressed to Francine Furlani, including invitations from event organizers, providing evidence of her personal connections with artists active in these communities. The collection is particularly strong in materials related to Nuyorican theater and poetry, with additional representation of the downtown New York performance scene.
