         <head>Biographical / Historical</head>
         <p>The Committee on the Curriculum was in charge of developing Brown Univeristy's New
        Curriculum, which was released in 1969. The College Curriculum Council was the approving
        body for new courses and course changes.</p>

         <p>The collection consists of agendas, meeting minutes, and reports generated by the Committee
        on the Curriculum in its work in designing Brown University's New Curriculum. The collection
        also includes a sizable number of records created by a previous Committee on the Curriculum
        in the 1930's used for reference, as well as two boxes of agendas, minutes, and course
        proposals from the College Curriculum Council from the 1980's.</p>
